The pole combines an aluminium main shaft with a fibreglass-composite outer body. The shaft's specially developed shape is designed to maximise rigidity and minimise flex, helping the roller respond more directly to movements of the pole.
This becomes particularly valuable when painting ceilings and tall walls, where excessive bending can make it harder to maintain consistent pressure and control over the roller.
A Different Approach to Extension
Rather than extending from one end, Captain Chunk's two telescopic sections extend outwards in opposite directions from the central body. This clever arrangement achieves impressive working reach while keeping the pole remarkably compact when retracted.

After Each Use
Wipe paint from the shaft, telescopic sections and accessible locking components before it dries. Pay particular attention to areas where the sections slide or lock together, as accumulated dried paint can interfere with smooth adjustment.
Cleaning
Use a soft cloth and an appropriate cleaning method for the paint or coating being used. Avoid immersing the locking mechanism in cleaning liquids.
Wipe the soft end grip clean to prevent paint build-up and preserve a comfortable gripping surface.
Storage
Allow the pole to dry thoroughly before retracting it for storage. Keep it in a clean, dry location and avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.
Maintaining the Locking Mechanism
